How do you say “Mom, I”m Gay” in Spanish?

1-love-hearts-map-of-the-world-map-michael-tompsett

A Dad in England kicks his gay son out of the house. A church in Australia shuns a family for supporting their lesbian daughter. A transgender woman is attacked in South Africa.

Hate knows no geographic boundaries.

A Mom in Canada goes shopping for clothes with her trans daughter. A Dad loves and stands by his gay son in Uganda. A church is open and affirming in Brazil.

Love knows no geographic boundaries.

We have been asked to do the book, “Mom, I’m Gay” in Spanish and we are currently looking for a volunteer to do that for us. (hint)  🙂

We want to say thank you!

To our faithful readers, our kind supporters, those who take a risk every day just by opening this page on your computer – not knowing who might see.

We are deeply grateful.

We humbly stand in awe of how much FreedHearts has grown. We are now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the book is doing great, and the FreedHearts.org blog now gets more than 25,000 views each month, and continues to increase.

We seem to have struck a nerve.

It has been painful. It has been beautiful.

The wave of love is growing. It is coming. Do you feel it?

Even in the face of condemnation and rejection and attack from family and ‘friends’, but with the strength of love, encouragement and support from family and friends, we will continue this work with renewed passion and commitment.

Love is always the right thing to do. Always.

Our voices are getting louder and stronger, and we are not going anywhere.

We wanted to do something fun today and share with you the list of countries from which the FreedHearts blog received visitors last month.  Just June.  103 countries!  Wow.  Here is the list…

  1. So excited that people from so many countries, including countries that violently repress homosexuality, are reading your words of love, truth and life. You go, girl!!!

  2. Wow, very neat that this is bringing so many together in support and love.
United States, Georgia. Bible belt state….:( God help me. 🙂 🙂 Surrounded by mostly Baptist, Southern Baptist, that of whom won’t even have the conversation and they do kick kids out of their homes, schools, and churches. (my experience here) “It is a sin, your child is a sin, your child needs to be fixed, it is a condemnation. You cannot be gay and Christian, God wouldn’t make that, it is a choice.” ” You cannot be a heterosexual, Christian, conservative.” Quite a bloody battle. Sigh
I am glad this site came up when I Googled’ (sp?) , ” My son is gay.”

    Thank you.
I am now an advocate too. I so want to help these folks, I always have!!!
    God works in many ways….

Lets win more hearts and minds for Jesus with Love, not hate.
Lets just look more like Jesus and show love. ( Christian or not) 🙂 We all need love.
